Is this system architecture worth considering?
SolaX offers more than one residential storage architecture in Australia. Triple Power and T-BAT batteries can form part of matched hybrid systems, while X1-IES and X3-IES package inverter, storage and energy management into more integrated residential systems.
The model generation matters. SolaX has several T-BAT families and multiple X1/X3 inverter generations, so a quote should identify the exact inverter, battery family and module count rather than using only the SolaX name.
How is the system actually built?
X1-IES is SolaX's single-phase all-in-one residential ESS pathway, while X3-IES covers three-phase systems. Current Australian product pages describe modular storage expansion and on-grid/off-grid operation within those platforms.
A separate hybrid inverter plus Triple Power battery is a different architecture from IES. It can offer a clearer component split, but compatibility and expansion still depend on the exact battery and inverter generation.
Backup output, transition behaviour and protected loads should be checked from the exact inverter or IES datasheet. A high battery-capacity ceiling does not by itself mean the house can run every circuit during an outage.
Product families worth knowing
| Product family | Role | Buyer check |
|---|---|---|
| Triple Power / T-BAT | Modular LFP battery families | Exact generation, module count, usable kWh and supported inverter. |
| X1-IES | Single-phase integrated residential ESS | Exact inverter rating, installed storage and EPS/backup design. |
| X3-IES | Three-phase integrated residential ESS | AC rating, storage range, phase loads and backup scope. |
| SolaXCloud | Monitoring and energy management | Owner account, metering and communications hardware included. |
Compatibility, backup and future changes
SolaX battery and inverter generations are not interchangeable by brand name. Check the current compatibility and installation documents for the exact T-BAT and inverter combination.
Expansion should be planned from the current battery manual and warranty, especially if modules may be added years later. Do not assume every future module generation can be mixed with an older stack.
For an existing solar system, compare whether an AC-coupled retrofit or a hybrid-inverter replacement better preserves usable equipment and meets the backup requirement.

Warranty, monitoring and support
SolaX's current 2026 Australian warranty page lists 10-year standard warranty periods across numerous Triple Power and T-BAT battery families and the current X1-IES/X3-IES inverter systems.
The exact terms still vary by model and accessories. Keep the current Australian warranty PDF, serial numbers, commissioning date and SolaXCloud owner access with the installation records.
Where does this architecture fit well?
- New solar plus storage using a matched SolaX hybrid and T-BAT design.
- Homes wanting an integrated X1-IES or X3-IES system rather than separate components.
- Single- or three-phase homes where the exact IES rating matches network and load requirements.
- Households planning modular storage where expansion rules are understood before purchase.
Another architecture can still be a better fit when the existing solar equipment is worth retaining, the preferred battery is incompatible, the backup requirement is simpler, or the extra ecosystem features do not justify their installed cost. Compare the system architectures ↗.
What should you check on the quote?
- Which exact SolaX inverter or IES model is quoted?
- Which T-BAT family and generation are included?
- What nominal and usable storage does the module count provide?
- What continuous backup power and circuits are included?
- Can this exact battery generation be expanded later and under what rules?
- Which 2026 Australian warranty terms apply?
Also confirm the exact model is currently approved for the proposed Australian/Victorian connection and that export-control or communications requirements are included where they apply. See the Victorian smart-inverter guide ↗.
Quick buyer questions
Is X1-IES the same as a SolaX hybrid inverter plus battery?
No. X1-IES is an integrated single-phase ESS platform. SolaX also sells separate hybrid inverter and T-BAT pathways, so the equipment schedule should identify the architecture.
Does SolaX have three-phase residential storage?
Yes. Current Australian X3-IES products provide a three-phase integrated residential ESS pathway, with the exact power and storage configuration depending on model.
How long is the current Australian SolaX battery warranty?
SolaX's 2026 Australian warranty page lists 10 years for the current battery families shown there, subject to the model-specific terms.
